419 Metamorphoses

“Though the platform differs, the spirit remains the same” – Dipo Tepede

I cycled out of Diamond Cash Club exactly 3 weeks 5 days with 8K dollars in my kitty but it came with a challenge that actually made me do a re-allignment of purpose. It is good to face challenges because it expands your internal structure and demands your focus on what is important in life but before I start philosophizing, let me gist you about the horror that befell me on Saturday;

I was in DCC Traveler position and I wanted to check my status when I noticed my password was not giving me access to my profile so I did the obvious thing of clicking on “the forget your password” tab on the home page of DCC and the usual message of “your password has been sent to your email”. I quickly flipped to my e-mail box and nothing so I immediatly plugged in my other slot on the “forget my password” slot and I immediately saw the password of the other slot in my e-mail box.

I immediately stood up and looked at my laptop wondering if I was dreaming. I needed 4 more slots to cycle out and someone hacked into my profile. My mind ran through various sets of scenario and questioned the authenticity of my password. I was down for a while until the beautiful face of my wife brought back hope (even if I lose all my physical possession, God has given me a mate that stood by me when I did not even have a bank account).

I contacted the DCC team and with the aid of my upline, Fhreedom4real, who passionately defended my position and was very instrumental to resolving the already dampening situation. I was able to track the person that committed the heinous act from the detailed section of the DCC menu; the guy placed his phone number, address and full name. I called the guy and from his Yoruba acsented voice, I was able to connect his name.

Immediately mine was resolved this morning, I got a message from Jerome that he could not log into two of his slots on DCC. The issue with Jerome’s quest is that immediately I reported mine, DCC placed a caveat saying:

“PLEASE READ THIS CAREFULLY!
Never give out access to your email account or your password to your DiamondCashClub business.

This information should be protected and kept confidential at all times. DiamondCashClub will not be responsible for any damages or finacial losses if your account gets Hacked, Taken Over or Hijacked.

When setting a password make sure it as at least 8-12 characters and mixed with letters and numbers.

DO NOT use dictionary based words for your password. Your password can only be recovered automatically and gets sent to the email address used for your business.”

Now we have to resolve Jerome’s own too but where do we start from. I am fortunate to have joined the Naija DCC Team headed by fhreedom4real because his leadership was very instrumental in resolving my case. Jerome, we would work with you to see this through.

419 has evolved from duping foreigners through evoking their greed to duping Nigerians through Mobile SMS scam now to penetrating online MLM platform. Now what do I do to this 419 guy that hacks into peeps profile on DCC? Please, I would need your advice; please trap in the comment box……..
