YOU GET WHAT YOU DESERVE

23foot_CA0.600.jpgIn my journey through successful endeavors, I have learnt that circumventing the processes of converting your passions to competency would not pay in the long run, because those avoided processes would eventually catch-up with you. Be it Marriage, Financial Success, Parenting, Career, Committed Relationships or even Job Seeking. No wonder when people complain about woes that befall them, I fail to see the issues, no matter how empathetic I may sound, I know any which way we analyze the issue; we are (subconsciously or not) the direct cause of it.More...

This quickly brings me to the conversation I had with a beautiful young girl in the verge of choosing a life partner. After, evaluating her preferred man, I knew she was headed for a very difficult time that she may not even be able to accommodate. Her very words were simply that she wanted a man that had a little “badness” inside of him. She eventually complained about 5 weeks down the line of choosing her new beau, that she could not accommodate his X and Y behavior and she doesn’t see herself marrying him. Oh was I glad that she quickly discovered herself unlike some stubborn females who fail to see the fault and carry on with the relationship anyway.

This issue of not knowing our faults in the woes that befall us is something that is very prevalent in a macrocosm level like decadence in economy, political, cultural or social in a nation. The average values that exist within the people reflect in the leaders that stirs the cause of their life. How hard is it for a poverty stricken nation to accept the fact that the oppressive mindset of the citizen itself is what produces the leader that accumulates the countries treasures and diverts it into his personal accounts? How hard is it for you to understand that where you are now, is a direct result of the decisions you made in the past?

After 3 months of starting the www.dipotepede.org project, I did some personal x-ray of the core reason of starting a project that consumes numerous amount of my time. I realized that the prevailing value that exist within a people which eventually affects their out come in life in whatever sector of their life,  starts with their earlier exposure to certain values that has been inculcated in their mindset. These values are inherited from their parents, uncles, television, cable, books, etc and affect their everyday existence even their immediate environ be it organic or inorganic.

A very good example is the win-lose mentality which is evident in everyday sports, business, education, politics, etc. When someone wins, we rejoice with the person and the person becomes an icon that conjures the image of a hero in our hearts. But this is a very wrong value that must be stopped because it produces oppression which eventually causes those armed robbers that visited your home, raped your daughter and wife, steal your hard earned monies and cause you grief that may take you time to recover from. The only motivation for these robbers is to win through life and to produce a loser at the end of the day. This win-lose mentality, we condone and even use as our source of entertainment like sports, is a direct result of the unhealthy competition in politics resulting in killing of political stalwarts, abducting of children for rituals, etc.

The loser is forgotten and even booed, no wonder it is difficult for people to embrace failure as a necessary prerequisite for success. They take it hard on themselves when they make mistakes which are inevitable to competency. They try to avoid the process and gun for the success and we point fingers at the fraudsters and armed robbers. We must first change our values that emanate from our mindset before we can change the happenings of the world. The world is a direct result of our actions which comes directly from our minds.

The issue of terrorism can not be far fetch. We support government that impose their self aggrandizing agenda on some perceived weak nation and expect peace. We must be very funny to believe we can act bully and act judge. This is actually the reason for this project to awaken the awareness and consciousness of the people that everything we see is a direct result of our action whether we like it or not. There is no bad person and no good person; we are either all bad or all good. I keep wondering why CNN (Cable Network News) showed a documentary titled “In the Footsteps of Bin Laden” more than 5 times this weekend alone. A simple projection of pointing faults to one man and failing to accept your own mistakes is a pride issue and God resists the proud. The indoctrination of such documentaries watched by 40% of the world is no different from the indoctrination of suicide bombers; all have the same theme “HATE YOUR NEIGHBORS AS YOUR ENEMIES”.
