Customer is NOT the King!

This was the first sentence I uttered as I attempted to correct the mental model of about 250 Project Management Executives while speaking on the PMI Nigeria conference theme “Innovate Motivate Integrate”. My argument focused on Value taking the position of kingship; “Value is king” does not automatically mean the customer is not important. It simply depict the hierarchical importance of value vis-à-vis the customer to corporate survival and ultimate success. If you are interested, you may download the Slides  below:
