John Adeyemi is a Nigerian in diaspora. He works as a Project Manager for an Engineering Service company called UGL in North Sydney, Australia. He recently acquired the PMP certification at first try in his bid to gain a Project Management credential to solidify his role in his company. My name is John Adeyemi.
2. School attended and present employment?
I work as a Project Manager (Fibre/Substation) with UGL, Australia. I am presently completing my MSc Telecommunication, Birmingham City University, UK; MBA,LAUTECH; PgD (Business Administration)Udus Sokoto, HND Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Federal Poly,Ado.
3. What is your motivation for writing the PMP exam?
My recent promotion to the role of Project Manager in my organization prompted me to go for the certification.
4. How did you use 10K to train for the PMP Exam?
Sincerely, I saw the 10K as nothing compare with the worth of the course. Before then, I had checked some online courses in Australia which could have made me to cough out close to 1200AUD (180,000K).
5. What was the eLearning platform like?
I found it very interesting and exciting. The course was structured such that you needed to pass at least 80% in each topic’s exam before proceeding to the next topic. It really made me disciplined myself and made me to work hard within the time frame (2 months).
6. Having succeeded; do you believe the eLearning platform can substitute the classroom?
Through eLearning platform, I was able to acquire PMP knowledge without attending classroom training. I strongly believe both eLearning and classroom would still be preferred and relevant. However, I would always go for eLearning due to the convenience and the flexibility.
7. Did you use any additional material except from PMtutor to pass at first try?
Well, I did use some exam practice materials online but then they are just similar to PMtutor exam practices. Categorically, I would advise that sticking to PMtutor materials alone would guarantee success in PMP exam.
8. Will you evangelize PMtutor to your colleagues and friends?
Yes, I have started preaching the gospel according to PMtutor to friends. Already, two candidates have shown interest; I will continue to do so.
