I love my job! My greatest moments are when I am teaching and motivating people on personal growth; it’s my greatest joy to see someone move from a low level to a high level like Wole – a Manager in Stanbic IBTC Bank – defying all odds to tackle the difficult Lean Six Sigma (LSS) Black Belt exam and coming tops with 88th percentile. You can read our talk below on his perspective towards the LSS Black Belt exam, his views on the exam, his secret resource, his thoughts on me and lastly, how the ICBB certification will be instrumental to him become a better product manager:
1. May we know your name?
Wole Adesiyan
2. What is your present occupation?
Product Manager, Stanbic IBTC
3. What motivated you towards six sigma
Actually, 2 things:
- Career Enhancement
- Gain Knowledge
4. Why were you interested in Lean Six Sigma as opposed to Six Sigma
It is a question around depth of the exam, rather than focus on lean alone or Six Sigma alone, I would rather have a combined certification.
5. What made you choose IASSC as opposed to ASQ
IASSC is the only 3rd Party Lean Six Sigma Certification in the world
6.Which books did you buy to make you pass at the 88th percentile?
None! All the resources were 100% from PMtutor Online Training in addition to 6-days PMtutor Classroom Training
7. How was the exam in terms of difficult level?
Without preparation, it is difficult to pass. You will have to invest a bit of time matched with your experience as a professional. This moderately gives you a chance to succeed.
8. How was the exam arrangement @ PMtutor?
This is not my first experience with PMtutor ( I did my PMP Prep training with them) and now my Lean Six Sigma Black Belt. Two simple word – structured and organized.
9. What do you think about your coach, Dipo?
An all round professional. Stubborn trainer (will not let you rest) and ensures you focus on the right things instead of chasing wild oats.
10. What is your future plan and what do you intend to with your certification?
I currently work in a bank where we are accepting the Lean Six Sigma approach and methodology – the discipline will aid in me in designing and developing effective products.
