Freddy Salem Scholarship
A successful entrepreneur since he graduated from INSEAD, Freddy Salem (MBA ’66) has run several private businesses in West Africa, Russia and the US. Keen to foster economic development in West Africa, Freddy Salem supports education initiatives that develop business talent for the region. Candidates for the INSEAD scholarships will need to demonstrate: (a) academic achievement and promise (b) aptitude for business and financial management, and (c) a strong likelihood of spending the better part of their working careers in West Africa. In awarding these scholarships, INSEAD shall particularly seek candidates from Nigeria, Ghana, Togo and Benin.

Sam Akiwumi Scholarship
Classmates from 2007, Sam’s family and friends, INSEAD staff and former colleagues have all contributed to this scholarship fund in memory of Sam Akiwumi ’07D (a Ghana/UK national) who died tragically in the year he was at INSEAD. The scholarship is targeted at participants from Africa, with a preference for Ghanaians.
