For Nigerians who may want to write their PMP exam from now till subsequent notice, they will have to travel to Accra, Ghana to do this battle. This is not a good development though Accra is about an hour flight but your choice of ID Card is now limited as you may need an international passport before you are allowed into Ghana. Also, your cost of writing the exam increases as you may end up booking a hotel room the day before your exam to avoid flight delays. Why this unfortunate turn of event?
Prometric – the test providers for Project Management Institute (PMI) together with other organizations like TOEFL, IIBA and GRE – has banned all Prometric Testing centers in Nigeria from taking any exam on their behalf. This may or may not be connected to exam malpractice but most people who have scheduled their PMP exams have been asked to move it to their nearest center which happens to be in LINEAR ASSESSMENT SERVICES, 1ST FLOOR TOTAL HOUSE, ACCRA, Ghana.
What does all these translate to? You cannot afford to do your PMP training in any kind of organization – its important to do it in an organization that can help you pass at first try with great in-depth understanding of Project Management.
