LandLords Forever?

2157256174_ba690c032e_mSeriously, whenever I see a landlord, I see a smart investor especially in a country like Nigeria where there is neither price regulation nor downward review of commodities. Landlords have covered all the aces of investment – capital gain and leasing. Think of it, every investment follows these two patterns of investment. Where do I begin from?

 


OK, let me start with the rat race; the smartest way of getting out is simply converting hard earned funds into assets. This is financial wisdom 101; I don’t think you need anybody to tell you this but if you do, then you need to read this paragraph 5 times. Another important thing to consider is people may be aware of how to get out but they simply cannot follow through with this strategy.

 

 

1420878261_f566b56013_mThere are many personal reasons people do not go through with this strategy but chief amongst these reasons is the fact that they have been personally burned or heard people who have been personally burned when they converted their liquid cash into assets. The only reason you can get burnt in any investment is because you lacked knowledge when you ventured into it.  

 

 

I really do not want to expatiate on this but let me give you the positives of estate investments in the right location at the right time. Three months ago, I promoted the SET GARDEN estate at 410K naira; a month ago, I later mentioned this same estate at 510K. Now the estate is valued at 650K which is still lower than most estate lands in Ikorodu.
