“It is like a tiny muster seed! Though this is one of the smallest seeds, it grows to become one of the largest of plants, with long branches where birds can build their nests and be sheltered†– Jesus illustrating the Kingdom of God in Mark 4: 32  Â
In just one and half years, my web site has really grown in an unprecedented pattern; it has recorded a 1.276 million page views and 375 thousand unique visitors with about 150 thousand returning visitors which simply means more than 200 thousand human beings have experienced my site. Wow! This is such a huge accomplishment for me and I am grateful to God that nudged me in the direction of building this site. Thank you Jesus!Â
After building the site and starting up, I remember feeling quite bad when someone asked me; why I had no particular genre for my blog, he postulated that my blog would not be  visited if I had no particular genre and started naming blogs with genres; bellanaija dealt strictly with fashion and societal events in Nigeria hence the huge traffic to her site, deoluakinyemi dealt on human development, gbengasesan dealt with Information Technology in Africa; nairaland was a forum where people can come and air their views, etc. The entire aforementioned sites had specific subject matter but Dipo Tepede.POeT was a spectrum of various subjects matter. What the person did not realize was that I simply had a vision and it really did not matter the genre I ventured into as long as I am aligned with my vision and mission. Â
My vision though not written anywhere on this blog was simply to get people thinking deeply on every phase of their lives. I wanted people to debunk average mental attitudes to relationships, investment, etc and the only way I sought to do this was to provoke the thinking pattern of anyone that experienced this site. This was simply my goal and people that visited my site earlier on said my write-ups were highly controversial. I still do not understand the word “controversial†or is it that I do not understand why people use such words to describe their inadequacies. When someone writes on a subject matter and passes across messages that are not popular, the person is termed controversial even if the unpopular message is the truth. Anyway, I prefer not to go down this wayÂ
I have analyzed the stats on my site and realized that June and July this year recorded the highest number of visits to this site. I did not need to ponder deep on the reason for this peak performance except I had to meditate for a long time why people are highly fascinated by making money. This was definitely the periods where people rushed to get the latest investment news from Nospetco thread but the humorous side of all this happenings is that people were more interested in making money than actually making the money. So many people lost out on investments while equally many made money on investment; the group each individual falls into depended on so many factors I cannot enumerate at this point in time. I realized that the people that made money on this site are not as vocal (or not vocal at all) as the people that lost. This is definitely not too good for the site that has been a vehicle for their progress.Â
A lady called me to thank me on winning 40K USD (5.2 million naira) on Getaway Club from the info she got from this site and wanted me to convert it to Naira for her. I obliged her but was curious on how she was able to make such returns amidst complaints from fellow readers. She told me she placed 3 million naira of her money into getaway and was able to gain 5.2 million naira making a spread of 2.2 million naira. I was very impressed with her boldness and ingenuity; she was able to make 2.2 million in a week by just studying some boards online. She told me she was stuck on the gold platform in GW and wanted to do something about it so she thought a way out from a comment I made on Nospetco thread about thinking MLM not being about people but about thinking outside the box. I knew if she had told me about taking such an adventure, I would have warned her against it but she had done it anyway and have come out smiling.
There is the flip side of people who have not been able to make anything out of the numerous opportunities that was churned out on this site. My heart really goes out to them but I realized that not many of them are ready to learn the art of making this money. They indeed refuse to take ownership of their actions and blame others for their misfortune. All they simply needed to do was ask those that have gained from the investment opportunities how they made it so they can correct and make the necessary adjustment for growth. This investment and investment opportunities has taken 75% of the topic of this site. I have made losses and made more gain from the information from this site.Â
Now coming to social networks; this site has provided friendship for so many people. I cannot but grin widely when someone tells me that their friendship with someone was because of this site. This is a great thing to hear and to think that I never had it in mind that my site would be used for social networking. There have also been people who have defrauded guys on this site by giving fake profiles and duping people of their hard earned money. This I am hoping to make more secure by doing some IP analysis and Internet Providers Identification.
Another important discuss is the values that this site portrays which include freedom of speech, respect for others, openness, ability to share information freely and integrity. I have had the cause to blacklist some certain sets of people that have consistently violated these values despite numerous warnings though I really do not enjoy doing this but my leadership function calls me to responsibility.Â
To crown it all, this site has been an information platform for smart guys who are ready to change their socio economic status. I mean smart guys not just anybody and this particular emphasis would be made next year. I have also had help from many guys that have spiced up this site; Seun Osewa, Ade, Dupe Olorunjo, Adeolu Akinyemi, Damilola Alolegbe, Life of A Stranger Called Me, Bolaji Osinuga, Gbenga Sesan, Angela and lately Funmilayo. Thank you for obliging me with your time and expertise. To all my commentators and those that share information freely; thank you very much and may your giving to this site bring you a 100 fold increase in Jesus name.Â
My bloggers competition this year went well though not with the kind of touch I wanted but it was cool all the same. The POeTry Competition has been postponed till a later date due to circumstance beyond my control.  Â
This site though it started very tiny has grown so large that it requires some expansion but like most people know me, I would not delve into popular territory but harness the success of this site to consolidate on the new portal (I am building) that would be an haven for Nigerian Youths. This new portal would empower Nigerian youths with opportunities beyond their wildest dream to succeed in their giving endeavor. Like Mohammed Yunus of the Grameen Bank said in an interview with Wharton Business School after winning the 2006 Nobel Peace Award that poverty can never be solved by giving charity but through business with the social objective of helping people get out of poverty. I am definitely aligned with Professor Yunus thought-tank and I am riding on this objective to do the best I can in my own sector and in my own little way to change my world and may be become a recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize in the near future. You never know………    Â
